A DOGGY DAYCARE DAY

My First Therapy Visit

This is a picture of my friend Daisy who is also testing out as a therapy dog.We are in the elevator at the care center. My Momma Jean almost blew my first visit. “I” was ready but Momma Jean just grabbed me and off we went. After she got into the car and looked my direction she remembered that she didn’t bring a brush for me. When we met up with the other humans and their dogs Momma Jean ran into the store and bought a comb for me ,a water bottle and the most important item…….puperoni treats!!!!! Now we are on our way following the other car of dogs when I started to wonder what else she might have forgotten. I started my ” Mitzi Jo Mind Melt” and sure enough my human started to remember that she didn’t bring my health certificate or any other paper work. For those of you who don’t know the Mitzi Jo Mind Melt is when I concentrate on Momma Jean with suggestions to her mind from my mind. Lucky for me my evaluator understood what I have to deal with and let me wait to bring the papers next week. Maybe next time I will have a picture of ME doing some therapy work. It was GREAT!! All I have to do is look real cute( no problem for me) and let people pet me. This isn’t going to be work at all. This is too much fun!!!. Love M.J.

A TV CHANNEL JUST FOR US DOGS!!!!!

Did you hear the news!!! They started a TV channel just for us dogs!!. Momma Jean always leaves the TV on for us and I usually get stuck with something they call soap operas. She said she wants to make sure that there aren’t any upset dogs on the program that would upset us too. Some of you humans don’t think about that. You think it’s nice to leave the animal planet on for your pet. If they show one of those vet shows with a dog crying in pain I must tell you that it doesn’t make your dog happy. This channel will take care of THAT problem. Thanks, Love, M.J.

ANOTHER JOB FOR ME

Do I look a bit tired? I told Momma Jean that I have to keep you posted on everything that’s happening. Seems I am going to get to do a column in the Free Press! I am so glad that people want to hear what we dogs are thinking. Between the Free Press column, my book, this blog, managing daycare and my upcoming therapy test I am on overload. My first visit for my Therapy test is tomorrow. I’m sure I will enjoy meeting all those nice people who need my love. I will keep you posted. Love, M.J.

I am now officially a Canine GOOD Citizen. Momma Jean says I was one all along BUT Now it’s official. It’s like graduating high school. It shows completion and follow through to complete something. Conforming myself to the rules of the test didn’t hamper my individual personality. It just showed to the world that I have determination. Now on to the Therapy test. That requires 4 visits to a place and will be near the end of June before I complete THAT test but I am determine to Achieve!! Love, M.J. Good luck on all your end of school year tests too!!!

A SPRINGTIME MESS

Hi! My name is Blizzard!! Mitzi Jo said I could show you what spring has done to me. Those “things” that fall off the trees seem to take to me like a magnet .It’s hard to see in this picture but they are there. Sometimes they call me a mop. I don’t mind the names. They say it in a loving way and it makes them smile. Besides I get alot more attention then the other dogs because I need to be brushed more. I kind of plan it that way. Besides, boys are suppose to have fun. Yes, I AM a Boy! Thanks Mitzi Jo for letting me sound off to your fans. Love, Blizzard

ONE BUSY PUPPY

Wow I am one busy puppy. Not only do I have book signings to look forward to but Momma Jean has signed me up to be a ” Canines for Christ” member. I will get to go make people feel better who are sick or who are sad. Tha’s what a dog lives for. To make a human happy. It brings my human joy to have me around and to see me share my love with others. What a wonderful world we would have if we all cared about sharing our joy and making others happy. I have to get my canine good citizen test and be therapy certifed. I love you all but I have to close now and go study for my test. Love M.J.

Learning a New Language

I’ve been trying to learn to say something in Italian so I could talk to the wonderful illustrator of my book in his own language. Well, I thought I would start with hello and goodbye and do you know how these wonderful people say goodbye? Chow!!!!! What a great language to use a “food” word to say goodbye. In MY language that means FOOD!! You know, like Purina Dog Chow and the words ” Chow time” (time to eat) and my favorite is ”chow down” What a wonderful language!! I can hardly wait to learn more delicious words. Love M.J.

A GREAT TRIP FOR ME!!!!!!

Momma Jean took me to my first Book signing event. We were celebrating the Perkasie Dog Park’s one year of being open. It was great being around all those people who love their dogs like family. I also was there promoting our daycare. That’s my Auntie Sommer in the picture with me. She works in my, ugh I mean, our daycare 2 days a week. I would like to give a special shout out to a new friend named Jovanna. She goes by Jo. Isn’t that kool. I am Mitzi Jo and she is Jo. She petted my head and gave me rubs. AND she gave me some dog cookies too. Afterwards we went to a place called Perkasie Treat Corner that serves hot dogs and snacks and Momma Jean got something and I got my very own “dog cone” of soft serve . The store has this just for us dogs.! This Perkasie is a wonderful town. I will have to put on the “Mitzi Jo Mind Melt” and get Momma Jean to bring me again. Love, M.J.

A SAD TIME AT HOME

My dog sister Gina had to complete her journey today. She lived with us and belonged to my Aunt Lisa but I thought of her as a sister. She was a big dog but ALWAYS kind to all the small dogs here. I would like to thank her for her faithful years of service to her humans. Gina was 18 years old. WOW! Love to all M.J.
